The United War Veterans Council invites you to join us for AMERICA'S PARADE – the largest Veterans Day Event in the nation!

Continuing the tradition of the annual New York City Veterans Day Parade, AMERICA'S PARADE features:

  • 600,000+ parade spectators in the heart of the 'Media Capital of the World'
  • Television broadcast to ten of the top markets in America, as well as to Department of Veterans Affairs hospitals across the U.S. and to our Armed Forces around the world
  • A 100,000 copy Commemorative Newspaper, distributed before, during and after the parade, and sent to military units and installations around the U.S. and overseas

'Veterans Week' series of events and activities

…and much more!

The Parade honors all eras and branches of service, with special recognition given this year to the history of American Women in uniform. This year's featured service branch is the U.S. Army. Historical observations include the conclusion of the 60th Anniversary Commemoration of the Korean War (1953 ~ 2013) as well as the ongoing United States of America Vietnam War Commemoration.

The Parade plays a critical role in raising awareness of the issues faced by all veterans – especially our most recent generation of veterans of Iraq, Afghanistan and other Post-9/11 operations. By telling their story on the nation's largest stage, the Parade reminds Americans everywhere of the service and sacrifice of those who have defended our freedoms, and mobilizes the public to support those organizations that are working tirelessly to serve their needs.

We invite you to join the United War Veterans Council in bringing this event to the public, to demonstrate your commitment to our veterans, military and their families, and to help us ensure that these American heroes receive the recognition and support they so justly deserve.
