America's>>Parade>>continues the traditions of the New York City Veterans Day>>Parade, the largest celebration of service in the nation.

The>>Parade>>attracts twenty thousand participants from over 30 states and nearly three quarters of a million live spectators (Learn more). This year's event will once again be broadcast on FOX Television's MyNetworkTV, reaching millions of viewers in ten of the country's largest broadcast markets.

Historically, the New York City Parade has been selected as the site of official “Nation’s Parade” celebrations by the Department of Defense, due to its size and presentation of the mosaic of America’s veterans community. >>These celebrations included the 50th and 60th Anniversaries of the end of World War II (1995 & 2005) and the 50th Anniversary of the Korean War (2000).

Over the past decade, New York City's Veterans Day>>Parade>>has built on these efforts, embracing a new generation of veterans and growing>>into a truly national event. >>As 'America's>>Parade', its goal is to not only>>lead the nation in honoring our veterans, but to build on New York’s>>stature as the “Media Capital of the World” to generate interest and>>participation in local Veterans Day activities in communities across
America.

As stewards of this great institution, the United War Veterans Council invites you to join us this November 11, to watch the Parade broadcast, and to support our efforts to ensure that America’s veterans receive the respect and recognition they deserve.
